Family Literacy is stressed in all Adult Education classes with special emphasis on reading aloud to children and help with homework. The Sequatchie County Adult Education Family Literacy Project is called "Hug a Book". This program provides a packet to all new mothers at "well baby" chechs at the Public Health Department and to all parents entering the local pre-school program at the elementary school.
